Vietnam Airlines gets 4-Star Airline rating
from Skytrax for 3rd year

In July 2018, Vietnam Airlines has received the 4-Star Airline certification from Skytrax, the UK-based international air transport rating organization. This marks the third consecutive year Vietnam Airlines has been honored for its efforts to provide customers with a complete and quality experience.

The rating places Vietnam Airlines among the world’s top airlines in terms of service quality, including Air France (France), Emirates (UAE), Japan Airlines (Japan), Korean Air (South Korea) and British Airways (UK), according to Skytrax.

The year 2018 further marks changes by Vietnam Airlines in improving the service quality, putting Vietnamese culture’s mark on products and services. From the traditional flavor Pho noodle to seasonal fruits such as lychee and longan, Vietnamese cuisine has gradually been becoming unforgettable memories aboard Vietnam Airlines flights. The cultural signatures from other countries are also emphasized by Vietnam Airlines in its service, bringing the closeness to each passenger, with the use of Japanese-style catering jars for Business Class on flights between Vietnam and Japan as the latest effort. The features of northern, central and southern regions’ cuisine along with Hue cuisine are also included in the menu for Business Class passengers.

In the ground service, Vietnam Airlines has re-arranged check-in counters for Business Class passengers as well as Premium Economy and Lotusmiles travellers for their most convenience. Passengers can also experience aboard the comfort of the Premium Economy class on the routes from Vietnam to Japan (Tokyo), Australia and Western Europe. In the coming time, seat covers, quilted blankets and pajamas will be served at Business Class flying to England, France, Germany, Australia and Russia to make passengers as comfortable as being at home, even on long journeys.

Skytrax’s third 4-Star Airline Certification will be a solid lever for Vietnam Airlines to pursue its goal of turning into a world-class 5-star airline.
