Vietnam Airlines has cooperated with Hong Kong’s King Power Traveler to begin inflight duty-free service, starting from October 2018.
The five-year cooperation with the Hong Kong-based firm is aimed at expanding and upgrading the service, known as Lotushop, to meet the UK Skytrax 4-star standard. Lotushop offers a wide range of products such as perfume, cosmetics, watches, suitcases, bags … so passengers can shop right at their seats on Vietnam Airlines’ 30 international flights, including destinations such as South Korea, Japan, China, Britain, France, Russia and Germany etc. Passengers will experience inflight convenient shopping, which offer prices an average 5-15 percent cheaper than the city shop average rates.
Partnering with King Power Traveler represents Vietnam Airlines’ effort to bring the international standard shopping experience to passengers, thereby synchronizing the 4-star quality in each aspect. The cooperation also marks one of the steps forward in the airline’s plan to reach the 5-star rating.
