Policy Changes on Membership Tier Qualification in 2024

Lotusmiles has introduced the following changes to the policy on membership tier qualification as of January 2024.

Change of the membership tier criteria
A 10-percent discount on qualifying segments is offered to renew or upgrade Platinum, Gold and Titanium cards. The membership tier criteria based on qualifying miles remain unchanged.

Changing the accrual rate for qualifying segments on Vietnam Airlines flights
When taking VN-coded flights (those operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vasco, Pacific Airlines and Cambodia Angkor Air), Lotusmiles members will receive the qualifying segments based on the type of trip (domestic or international), flight distance and fare type. Economy Flexible fares have a higher coefficient rate than Economy Classic or Economy Lite fares.

Changing the accrual rate for qualifying segments on SkyTeam flights
From January 20, 2024, Lotusmiles members with Economy Class tickets taking SkyTeam flights had their qualifying segments added with a coefficient of 0.5 instead of 1 as before. The rules for First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy tickets remained unchanged.
