Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop co-branded card products in early 2025 and conduct joint marketing initiatives.
Under the MoU, the two parties are expected to launch the co-branded Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles – Shinhan Card credit card in South Korea in the first quarter of next year.
Cardholders, who are also Lotusmiles members, will enjoy benefits when flying with Vietnam Airlines and its airline partners, enjoying incentives from non-airline partners’ services such as banking, shopping, insurance, hotel, telecommunications, accumulating miles and getting special upgrades based on the card usage.
This ‘2-in-1’ card will open up opportunities for cardholders to access Shinhan Card’s convenient payment services and experience the privileges in airlines services offered by Vietnam Airlines and the SkyTeam alliance.
In addition, Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card will cooperate closely to develop marketing strategies and diverse incentives to increase value for customers of both parties.
The co-branded card product of Vietnam Airlines and Shinhan Card is a testament to the comprehensive cooperation and deep strategic vision of the two countries’ enterprises, with the goal of becoming pioneers in the digital transformation process.
This partnership carries even more meanings when Vietnam’s national airline is on one side, and the other side is a South Korea’s leading financial group. Both sides have affirmed their position in the market with outstanding achievements and have built a large, loyal customer base.
