Vietnam Airlines Updates Operations Plan
at Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3

Hanoi, April 26, 2025 – To enhance passenger convenience and optimize the travel experience, Vietnam Airlines adjusts its plan to move all domestic flights to Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3, instead of the previously scheduled date of April 28. Based on a review of actual operations, Vietnam Airlines is working closely with relevant units to determine a new transition timeline and will officially update passengers as soon as possible.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines is operating flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, as well as Van Don, at Terminal T3. Other domestic routes of Vietnam Airlines, along with flights operated by Pacific Airlines and VASCO, will continue to depart from Terminal T1 until further notice.
Since the initial move of certain flights to Terminal T3, Vietnam Airlines’ operations there have been effectively and closely coordinated with the Airports Corporation of Vietnam and other relevant units, providing passengers with a smooth journey and a seamless service experience.
As of April 26, Vietnam Airlines has safely operated more than 390 flights and served over 100,000 passengers at Terminal T3, demonstrating strong, professional operational capabilities from the very first days of service.
Operational plans at Terminal T3 have been proactively developed and thoroughly prepared in advance by Vietnam Airlines and related units, including multiple flexible scenarios to adapt to actual conditions during the initial phase of operation. The decision to adjust the timeline for transferring all domestic flights reflects proactive management to ensure an optimized passenger experience and greater operational coordination among units at Terminal T3.
Previously, on April 19, Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s Terminal T3 was officially inaugurated and put into operation. As a large and modern passenger terminal, T3 boasts a total designed capacity of 20 million domestic passengers per year. It features synchronized infrastructure, advanced technologies, and a spacious, airy environment aimed at offering passengers a convenient, fast and comfortable travel experience. The launch of Terminal T3 significantly boosts both service capacity and quality at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
