Vietnam Airlines sincerely thanks you for your continued trust and support over the years.
We are pleased to announce that on April 17, 2025, Vietnam Airlines officially began operations at Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport for domestic flights, following the successful launch of our first commercial flight VN1286 from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Don at the new terminal.
According to the plan, starting from 00:00 on April 19, all Vietnam Airlines flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi operate at Terminal T3. Subsequently, from April 28, all remaining domestic flights move to this terminal as well, except for routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao, Rach Gia and Ca Mau, which will continue to operate from Terminal T1 as currently.
Flights operated by Pacific Airlines and VASCO, both members of Vietnam Airlines Group, will also continue to operate from Terminal T1 until further notice.
If you have an upcoming flight departing from Terminal T3, please carefully check the terminal information printed on your ticket, familiarize yourself with the T3 terminal map and prioritize using online check-in methods via the website, mobile app or airport kiosks. To ensure a smooth journey, we recommend arriving at the correct terminal T3 at least 2 hours before departure to avoid any unexpected delays.
Please note: Terminals T1 (domestic), T2 (international) and T3 are located separately. Travel time between terminals is approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. To conveniently move from T1 or T2 (for connecting passengers) to T3, you may use the free shuttle buses provided by Tan Son Nhat International Airport (departing every 10 to 20 minutes on average) or taxis.
With this terminal transition, Vietnam Airlines becomes a pioneer in implementing full-process digital identification and biometric verification. At Terminal T3, passengers can experience smart check-in using the VNeID application developed by the Ministry of Public Security – allowing the entire journey from check-in to security and boarding to be completed via facial recognition, without the need to present physical documents. This marks a significant step toward a contactless, modern, and secure aviation ecosystem.
Vietnam Airlines’ check-in counters are located from number 56 to 109 at Terminal T3, along with 22 self-service check-in kiosks, helping passengers save time and enjoy greater convenience.
The move to the new terminal not only enhances the service experience of Vietnam Airlines but also contributes to transforming Tan Son Nhat Airport into a dynamic aviation hub of Asia.
This is an important milestone in the development strategy of Vietnam’s aviation infrastructure and of Vietnam Airlines in particular – paving the way toward an integrated, convenient and 5-star-standard service ecosystem under the Vietnam Airlines Group.
We sincerely thank you once again and look forward to continuing to accompany you on future journeys with safe, convenient and modern services.
