Vietnam Airlines Begins Ticket Sale for 2020 Lunar New Year Festival

Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific and VASCO) has officially begun offering air tickets for the Lunar New Year Festival 2020, also known as Tet, on all domestic routes in order to meet the year-end travel demand by millions of passengers.

The group’s three airlines will altogether supply nearly 2 million seats for the period from January 9 to February 8, 2020 (i.e. December 15 to January 15 based on the lunar calendar), an increase of more than 250,000 seats (equivalent to 1,100 flights) from the same period a year ago. Of the total, Vietnam Airlines and VASCO will supply nearly 1.4 million seats, or 7,600 flights. Jetstar Pacific also makes available for sale nearly 600,000 seats, or more than 3,000 flights. In the subsequent periods, the three airlines will continue to research and would offer more flights to serve passengers around Tet.

The routes with high travel demand and which will get additional flights include the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City/Vinh/Can Tho/Phu Quoc routes, and between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang/Hai Phong/Thanh Hoa/Vinh/Dong Hoi/Hue/Pleiku/Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc.

At present, Vietnam Airlines Group’s domestic routes use new and modern aircraft such as Boeing 787-9s, Boeing 787-10s, Airbus A350-900s, A321neos, A321s etc. with the 4-star service qualified by Skytrax.
