Vietnam Airlines currently has the most outstanding epidemic safety standards in Vietnam’s aviation sector, meeting the stringent requirements of the international aviation industry. The airline’s measures set the epidemic safety level above SkyTeam Alliance’s standards, and are equivalent to a 4-star rating on the 5-level rating scale by Skytrax, the international air transport rating organization.
The airline is Vietnam’s only carrier that has a set of standards of epidemic prevention and control levels flexibly applied to each flight, and at the same time it arranges a separate fleet on each route to limit cross transmission. This is a measure laid beyond the standards of SkyTeam, the world’s second-largest airline alliance.
Vietnam Airlines is also the company that invests most strongly in sterilization with the highest frequency of disinfection for aircraft, equipment and tools for passenger service. In addition, many measures above SkyTeam requirements, which are also the only ones adopted in Vietnam, are being implemented by Vietnam Airlines, such as daily multiple disinfection of equipment and tools before serving passengers, arrangement of disinfectant spraying carpets at boarding gates, antibacterial towels handed to passengers aboard and ultraviolet rays used for disinfecting headphones after each flight.
Along with the above measures and many other service solutions, Vietnam Airlines is meeting the 4-star rating under Skytrax’s disease safety assessment program.
