Vietnam Airlines has launched the online check-in service via its website and app for passengers traveling from Phu Quoc airport.
Passengers can check-in by themselves via the website www.vietnamairlines.com or the Vietnam Airlines app between 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time.
Having completed the check-in process, passengers will receive their online boarding pass electronically or can print the pass themselves.
For passengers traveling without checked baggage, they can use the pass to go straight to security check and board the plane without having to call at the airport check-in counter, thus greatly shortening the time of waiting in the line to check in at the counter. Phu Quoc has now become the 10th domestic airport with this convenient service offered by Vietnam Airlines, after Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Van Don, Cat Bi, Vinh, Chu Lai and Con Dao airports.
The expansion and promotion of online check-in is part of Vietnam Airlines’ efforts to provide a quick and convenient service experience, especially to limit physical contact in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and at the same time to contribute to reducing infrastructure pressure at airports, with congestion often observed at check-in areas.
