Special longan served on Vietnam Airlines flights

Vietnam Airlines has cooperated with the northern province of Hung Yen to supply special longan to passengers on its flights. The fruit, considered a special product of the province, is now served as a dessert in the Business Class on more than 70 flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Asian destinations, Australia and Europe as well as on domestic routes.

The longan meeting VietGap standard with a sweet flavor, thick pulp would undergo many stages of food safety inspection before being placed on passengers’ tables. Vietnam Airlines expects to provide the dessert of Hung Yen longan within a month of its peak season, from August 15 to September15.

The introduction of Vietnamese branded products, such as Bac Giang lychee and Hung Yen longan, aboard Vietnam Airlines’ flights has reaffirmed its continuous efforts to promote Vietnamese culinary culture throughout the world.
