What members often ask

What is a Lotusmiles Family Account?
A Family Account allows family members to join Lotusmiles together, pool miles more conveniently, and make it easier to use miles for shared travel plans or rewards for loved ones.
Who can become the Family Account head?
The Family Account head must be a member aged 18 or above who has not joined any other Family Account. The person who sends the invitation to other members becomes the Family Account head.
Who can join as a Family Account member?
A member must be aged 2 or above, be a Lotusmiles member, and must not have joined any other Family Account at the time of invitation.
How does the 1,000 award miles offer apply?
Members who create or successfully join a Family Account for the first time will receive 1,000 bonus miles. Each member is eligible to receive this bonus only once. Members who have already received the bonus will not be eligible again, even if they create or join a new Household Account at a later date. Eligibility is based on the date the Family Account head sends the invitation. The award miles are valid for 36 months.
When will members receive an extra 15% award miles?
When 2 or more members in the same Family Account travel together on the same flight and on the same travel date, each member will receive an extra 15% award miles compared with the standard mileage accrual.
Can members other than the Family Account head use the pooled miles?
Members other than the Family Account head may only use the miles in their own individual accounts.
How soon can a member leave a Family Account?
A member may leave a Family Account at least 6 months after officially joining. The departure may be initiated by the member or by the Family Account head.
Will miles be retained after leaving a Family Account?
Yes. Members will retain the miles available in their account at the time they leave the Family Account.
