Vietnam Airlines has been honored this year by TripAdvisor, the world’s biggest travel site. The “Travellers’ Choice Major Airlines – Asia 2018” award has placed the airlines along with Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Korean Air, Garuda Indonesia, and Cathay Pacific. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor flights. The TripAdvisor travel community rates airlines on eight categories, including customer service, seats, legroom, sanitation, meals and drinks, check-in procedures, and entertainment facilities.
Currently, TripAdvisor has more than 900,000 reviews of more than 550 airlines around the world. Of which, Vietnam Airlines has received more than 4,000 reviews in 26 languages from TripAvisor users.
In the past two years, the national flag carrier has repeatedly been recognized as a 4-star international airline by UK-based SkyTrax. In 2017, Vietnam Airlines won the “World’s Leading Cultural Airline” title from World Travel Awards.
