Vietnam Airlines flies sports delegation to Asian Games (ASIAD 2018)

Vietnam Airlines has furthered its role in accompanying a delegation of Vietnamese athletes to join the 18th Asian Games (ASIAD 2018) in Indonesia from August 18 to September 3, 2018.

In the capacity of the official carrier, Vietnam Airlines has designed a special fare policy and provide free transport for 300 kg of baggage containing sport equipment for more than 500 members of the delegation, including leaders, officials, athletes and coaches on flights leaving Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City for Jakarta or Palembang, and vice versa.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Vietnam Airlines’ Deputy General Director, said: “Vietnam Airlines is proud to be a sponsor, a special partner with 4-star service for Vietnam’s sports delegation to help achieve its mission at the Asian Games. Vietnam Airlines has built a preferential policy, free baggage allowance and a special check-in procedure for members of the delegation. All of this is aimed at providing the Vietnamese sports delegation with the most comfort and convenience as they leave to represent the nation in attending the continent’s sport arena, the ASIAD, showing Vietnam Airlines support to encourage them to compete in the name of the nation.”
