The Lotusmiles Program has attained its target to have 2.2 million members by December 2018, a milestone marking the transition in both quality and quantity under the new slogan “It’S miles life”. Let’s take a look at recent improvements in the services offered by the frequent flyer program.
More convenience from online functions
As of June 1, 2018, Lotusmiles members can buy or transfer miles/flights online via their personal accounts without having to visit ticket offices. A new mobile app has enabled passengers to easily check their account, redeem miles for award tickets, claim missing miles, buy/transfer miles/sectors etc. The ratio of members who obtain award tickets online has now reached 64 percent.
Shorter process of award redemption
Vietnam Airlines has launched the LotusAward program since August 2017, allowing Lotusmiles members who wish to redeem awards at the airline’s branch offices to complete their redemption request by just one visit.
Exclusive SkyPriority check-in countes for Lotusmiles members
As of April 2018, Platinum, Gold and Titanium Lotusmiles members have been able to use SkyPriority check-in services at exclusive SkyPriority check-in counters in domestic and international airports. For the airports where the service has yet to be available, Lotusmiles members on these tiers can check-in at Business Class counters. This breakthrough in service quality has added satisfaction to customers’ travel experience.
The 2.2 -million member target accomplished
In addition to improving the service quality, Lotusmiles has also sought to raise the number of members to 2.2 million by the end of 2018. The program is now ready to conquer a new peak of welcoming 3 million members in 2019.
Besides, Lotusmiles has also expanded cooperation with new partners in various sectors such as telecommunications, insurance, hotels, banking and shopping in order to increase benefits for members, thus attaching award miles to coloring members’ experience.
