Vietnam Airlines has secured the National Brand 2018, making it the only firm in aviation transport to qualify for the honor.
The award created to recognize domestic companies for excellent performance during the year has been handed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam National Trademark Council. This is the second time the national carrier has received the title.
As part of the program agenda, representatives from the 97 enterprises honored with the 2018 National Brand held a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on December 20, 2018. Mr. Duong Tri Thanh, Vietnam Airlines President and CEO, delivered a remark on behalf of the business executives present at the meeting. He then handed a souvenir from the Vietnam National Trademark Council to the Prime Minister.
Vietnam Airlines has been valued at USD 310 million, based on assessments by consulting firm Brand Finance, placing it among Vietnam’s top 10 brands in 2017. The carrier is also rated among “Top 20 Asian Airlines with Strong Brand“ by a global market research company.
