Vietnam Airlines to Shift Operation to Russia’s Largest Airport in July

Vietnam Airlines will shift all its operation to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo, Russia’s biggest and fastest-growing airport, from early July this year to bring more benefits to passengers and increase connectivity, the airline has announced.

As of July 2, 2019, all Vietnam Airlines’ flights to and from Russia, now made through Domodedovo airport also in Moscow, will take place at Sheremetyevo International Airport, giving passengers access to advanced facilities and convenient services.

The move will also increase the flexibility to connect flights by other airlines inside Russia as well as to European destinations from Sheremetyevo airport.

Moving to Sheremetyevo, Vietnam Airlines will change the flight departure times in Hanoi and Moscow to make it more convenient to passengers. Specifically, flights will leave Hanoi at 01:10 and Moscow at 14:40, based on local time. Departing from Vietnam slightly after mid-night and arriving in the morning, passengers will spend the night on the plane, saving the accommodation costs while ensuring a healthy start of the new day to work or explore new destinations right after arrival.

Vietnam Airlines will still fly Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft on this route.

With the shift to Sheremetyevo airport and changes in the operating time, Vietnam Airlines wishes that passengers will expand convenient flight options and enjoy the 4-star international service quality based on Skytrax rating.
