National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has been awarded in June a 4-Star Airline Rating by the international air transport rating organization Skytrax, the fourth consecutive year it received the certificate.
The rating was granted on June 18, 2019 at the Paris Air Show, one of the world’s largest aviation exhibitions. Vietnam Airlines was recognized for its efforts to improve the service quality to meet increasing market and passengers’ requirements.
This year, Skytrax rated Vietnam Airlines based on 1,840 ground and air service criteria, or 214 criteria more than in 2018. On a scale of one to five stars, Vietnam Airlines met 85 percent of the 4-star and 5-star criteria. This year, the airline’s support services at destination, ticket counters, lounges and its website have received high rating by Skytrax.
Skytrax’s assessment showed that the ratio of Vietnam Airlines’ criteria reaching 4.5-star and 5-star ratings this year has increased 16 percent from 2016, the year it received the 4-star certificate for the first time.
With this outcome, Vietnam Airlines has continued to affirm the quality of its products and services on par with that offered by leading international airlines recognized by Skytrax such as Air France, British Airways, Emirates, and Korean Air.
