Vietnam Airlines has officially launched a route connecting Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang with Shanghai in China from January 19, 2020, with flights leaving Da Nang at 17:55 and from Shanghai at 23:20 (local time) on Thursdays and Sundays.
The route brings to 19 the air links operated by Vietnam Airlines between the two countries, making it convenient for attractive trips with direct flights, such as the Shanghai-Da Nang-Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh City or the Da Nang-Shanghai-Hangzhou-Da Nang flights. The Da Nang-Shanghai flights are operated with four-star service on Airbus A321 aircraft.
On the occasion of inaugurating the route, Lotusmiles members purchasing tickets and taking Vietnam Airlines-operated flights will receive the following benefits:
• Lotusmiles Platinum, Gold and Titanium memberswill have their seats upgraded to Business class for single or return tickets on booking classes W, Z, U, Y, B, M, S, H, K, L, Q, N and R, pending Business class seat availability.
• Lotusmiles Silver members will be entitled for one extra free luggage (23kg) with booking classes J, C, D, I, W, Z, U, Y, B, M, S, H, K, L, Q, N and R.
• All Lotusmiles members will get double bonus miles for booking classes J, C, D, I, Y, B, M and S and earn a 50-percent more of bonus miles for booking classes H, K, L, Q, N, R, T, E and A.
Conditions:
• The Business class upgrade and extra luggage benefits are applied to flights from January 19 to February 19, 2020.
• The bonus mile benefits apply to passengers boarding Vietnam Airlines flights, with carrier code VN on ticket, whose departure starts from January 19 and flight completion is on March 31, 2020 at the latest.
• Lotusmiles members request upgrade and extra luggage at Vietnam Airlines branches (not applicable for airport-based ticketing offices).
