From now on, Vietnam Airlines passengers departing from Hai Phong’s Cat Bi airport can save the check-in time by completing the procedure by themselves at check-in kiosks located at the airport.
Cat Bi airport is Vietnam’s 5th airport to get Vietnam Airlines’ check-in kiosks, after Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang and Cam Ranh airports. In recent years, check-in kiosks have increasingly been favored by passengers for their convenience, giving travelers full initiative while reducing the COVID-19 infection risk stemmed from direct contact.
Using the airport check-in kiosks, passengers can take the following steps on their own: selecting seat, weighing luggage, printing the bag tag as well as the boarding pass. It takes around two minutes to complete all of these steps.
Passengers traveling without checked baggage can use the boarding pass printed from the kiosk to go directly to the security checks and the boarding gates.
Guests traveling with checked baggage who have not printed their bag tag at the kiosk can check in at counters.Check-in time is from 24 hours to 45 minutes before the departure time for domestic flights.
