Kind Hearts to Accompany Operation Smile Vietnam

In November 2022, Operation Smile was scheduled to carry out a humanitarian medical surgery program in Nghe An province, joined by medical experts from hospitals in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Doctors would conduct screening and provide treatments to bring smiles to about 100 children born with cleft lip and cleft palate.

Contributing to this humanitarian work, Vietnam Airlines has called on Lotusmiles members to donate bonus miles for conversion into air tickets, supporting 17 medical experts to move from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An. The total number of bonus miles required was 238,000 miles.

This was Vietnam Airlines’ first call for Lotusmiles members to donate miles, joining hands to volunteer, and bring smiles to unfortunate children. The call was well received, with much sharing and many responses from members, so within 50 minutes after the letter had been sent, the airline already received the required mileage.

Vietnam Airlines would like to express its deep gratitude to Lotusmiles members and look forward to further companionship and sharing in humanitarian activities in the future. Joining hands with spiritual and material support will bring a new and better future for Vietnamese children while contributing to proliferating positive and good things in society.

Life will be more beautiful when we are surrounded by kind and charitable hearts.
