Vietnam Airlines Opens
Hanoi-Phnom Penh Direct Flights

Vietnam Airlines has started a direct air link between Hanoi and Phnom Penh, becoming the only Vietnamese carrier to offer such service between the capitals.

The new route, launched on October 27 using Airbus A321 aircraft and with a frequency of four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, will contribute to completing the connection and trade network between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Opening the Hanoi-Phnom Penh route demonstrates Vietnam Airlines’ continuous efforts while the aviation industry is still facing post-pandemic difficulties along with global political and economic fluctuations. This route will certainly open up opportunities for economic, tourism and aviation development between the two countries.

The Hanoi-Phnom Penh route expands the airline’s total offerings between Vietnam and Cambodia to five. This includes existing services from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh, flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, as well as the trans-Indochina route connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Vientiane and Phnom Penh.

The frequent flight service and convenient connection times for travelers from European, American, and Northeast Asian markets make the routes connecting Vietnam and Cambodia particularly appealing for passengers looking to combine their visit to Vietnam with other regional destinations.

On this occasion, Lotusmiles members can double their bonus miles when flying Business Class, Economy Flex and Economy Standard while taking the Hanoi – Phnom Penh flight from now to November 30, 2024, while passengers flying Economy Lite will enjoy the incentive by November 2, 2024.
