Vietnam Airlines is officially launching end-to-end biometric processing for domestic flights starting December 1, 2025, reducing processing time to just 1–2 minutes and delivering a paperless – fast – secure travel experience.

Purchase tickets via Vietnam Airlines’ official channels. | |

Use VNeID (Level 2 verified account) for check-in to enjoy end-to-end biometric processing. | |
|
Your phone must have a properly functioning camera for facial recognition. | |
|
Passengers who have already checked in online via the Vietnam Airlines website/app but have not completed facial verification can complete end-to-end biometric processing via VNeID. | |
|
Update to the latest versions of the VNeID and Vietnam Airlines apps before your flight. | |
|
At the airport, if you haven’t checked in online, you can do so at a kiosk or a counter equipped with facial verification devices. | |
|
Passengers with checked baggage or special passengers (such as elderly passengers, passengers with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, passengers using passports, or those who are not yet eligible for identity verification) may use a chip-based national ID card and complete biometric verification at the check-in counter, then use biometrics to pass through security and boarding gates. |
